Categorical vs. Dimensional Approaches to Abnormal Behavior

I'm not going to type this whole section out, but it's on page 10 of my Abnormal Psych book. It's definitely poses some good questions ie... When does one have "enough" of a symptom to have a diagnosis?

Also see page 11 of the same book. There is a continuing debate as to whether psychological disorders are the result of lower Socioeconomic status (SES) or if it's the other way around.
